1 cup warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 ½ tsp. salt
1 T. shortening
2 cups sifted flour or more
Pour water into a large mixing bowl. Add yeast, shortening, sugar, and salt. Let stand for a few minutes then stir to dissolve. Add half the flour. Stir. Add a little more, than knead rest in. Cover dough, and let rise in warm place until doubled about 30 minutes. Make out rolls, the, let rise 20 to 30 minutes. Bake in 425 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Butter top of rolls while hot.
