Hickory Nut Pie

2 eggs, beaten
½ cup syrup
Pinch salt
½ cup sugar
1 cup nutmeats, or more
1 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked 8-inch pie crust

Mix together all ingredients, adding nuts last. Pour into a small-unbaked pie crust. Bake in 400 degree oven for ten minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake till brown.
