Crispy Chocolate Squares

  • 1 package miniature marshmallows
  • ½ cup margarine
  • 2 cups rice crispy cereal
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Frosting

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Combine marshmallows, chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine. Melt over boiling water. Stir until well blended. Mixture will be lumpy. Cool a bit. Add salted peanuts. Stir till well coated. Spread in a greased 12 by 9 by 2 inch pan. For frosting combine chocolate chips and butter and melt over hot water. Mix well. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. With electric mixer, beat frosting until smooth. Spread over cool mixture. Cover and refrigerate. Cool until firm. Cut into squares. Makes about 4 dozen.
