Candy Bar Croissants

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 Tbsp sliced almonds
  • 2 plain milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 oz each), broken into small pieces

Instructions:

  1. Unroll crescent roll dough.
  2. Separate into 8 triangles.
  3. Brush with butter.
  4. Arrange candy bar pieces evenly over the wider end of each triangle.
  5. Roll up from the wide end, placing point-side down on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Curve ends slightly.
  7. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with almonds.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack.
