Ingredients:
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup sugar

- 1½ cups boiling water

- Pie dough for a 2-crust pie (top and bottom)
Instructions:
- Combine raisins, sugar, flour, vinegar (if not using evaporated milk), butter, salt, and boiling water.
- Add vanilla.
- Roll out pie dough.
- Spread bottom crust with margarine (butter).
- Add raisin mixture.
- Place top crust on top of filling and seal edges down well.
- Bake in a hot oven at 425°F for 15 minutes.
- Then lower heat to 350°F and bake until brown.
