Boiled Raisin Cake

Dona Foltz

Cream:

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter

Add

  • 2 eggs

Sift

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Add

  • 3 cups raisins which have been boiled 20 minutes in an uncovered vessell
  • 1 cup of the water the raisins boiled in

Blend all ingredients well and pour into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake in slow oven until done.
