Pudding
2 1/2 cups dry bread pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
two eggs beaten
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups milk
one teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
Sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
Pudding
Combine milk, eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg, and Danella pour over bread and add raisins if desired bake at 350° for one hour and dot with butter.
Serve with a warm sauce.
Sauce
Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons cornstarch. Cook / mix and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 tablespoons butter.
Pour over each serving of the pudding.
