Cinnamon Apples

1 cup sugar
½ cup water
¼ cup red-hot candies
½ tsp. red food coloring

Peel, core, and thickly slice enough apples to fill a 2 quart pan or large skillet. Add sugar, water, food coloring, and red hots. Cover and cook till tender. Remove lid, and cook 3 to 5 minutes longer to thicken juice. Cool. Serve cold.

Be sure to buy some nice solid apples for this.
