Salad Dressing Cake

Dona Foltz

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups cocoa
  • 2 T baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 cup salad dressing (Mayonnaise)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat and pour into oblong pan (greased and floured) and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Icing

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 6 T milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 lb powdered sugar

Melt oleo, add cocoa and milk

heat to a boil and add 1 t vanilla

Add powdered sugar

Mix well

Allow to cool slightly

Pour over warm cake
