The dough is sticky so roll out the dough between pieces of wax paper
- ½ cup of margarine
- 2 Tbsp. Almond extract
- ½ cup of shortening
- 1¾ cup flour
- ¾ cup sugar
1¼ cup old fashioned oats
In mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Beat in extract. Combine flour and oats. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Roll out between wax paper to ¼ in thickness. Cut with 2½ in cookie cutter dipped in flour. Place 1 in apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
