Pantry Shelf Quiche
Preheat oven 375
1 unbaked pie shell homemade or purchased
3 eggs, beaten with 1 1/2 cups Pet or light cream
1 1/2 cups gratedSwiss cheese—6to 8 slices
1 small can drained , sliced or chopped mushrooms
2 Tbls. BacOs or crumbled crisp–2 or 3 slices bacon
2 Tbls. dry Lipton’s Soup Mix
In pie shell, unpricked, sprinkle evenly the grated cheese, drained
mushrooms, BacOs, and Onion soup mix. Place piepan on center shelf of oven
and pour the egg and cream mix which you have mixed together, evenly over
the pan. Bake until center is golden and is firm when lightly pressed with
fingertip–probably 25 to 30 min, but I don’t have a time for it’–just
watch it.
