Regal Cream Cheese Cake
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup chopped toasted almonds
- 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple
- 2 cups mashed bananas
Combine first 5 ingredients. Add eggs and oil, stirring until dry ingredients are moist. Do not beat. Stir in almond extract, pineapple, almonds, and bananas. Bake in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan at 300 degrees for around 15 minutes. Check after 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
Cream Cheese Frosting for Regal Cream Cheese Cake
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
- 1 16 oz. package powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant tea
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and cream cheese; gradually add sugar, tea, and salt, beating until light and fluffy. Makes enough for one 10-inch cake.
