8 hour Cabbage Salad

1 cup sugar
¾ cup vinegar
2 tsp. salt
¼ cup oil
½ cup water
I like to add 1 tsp. celery seed

Pour mixture over:
1 med. head of cabbage (shredded)
1 green pepper (chopped fine)
1 onion (chopped)
Grated carrots
Chill several hours or overnight

Mix well.
