Cream Cheese Frosting


For carrot, apple and spiced cakes. To soften cream cheese place unwrapped in microwave 1-1½ minutes.

  • 3 cups margarine softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3 oz each cream cheese softened)

In mixing bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar. Store frosted cake in fridge. Frost a 3 layer cake or a 15 by 10 by 3 inch cake.
