Four layer dessert (chocolaty)
Make a day ahead
Can use any pudding flavor
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans and walnuts divided
- ½ cup melted margarine
- 1 package 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 16 oz carton of frozen cool whip thawed divided
- 3 cups cold milk
- 2 pck instant chocolate pudding mix
Combine flour, ½ cup nuts, and butter. Place into a greased 13 by 9 by 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool. In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Stir in 1 cup cool whip. Spread over crust. In another bowl combine milk and pudding mix. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes or till thick. Pour over cream cheese layer and refrigerate till set. Spread remaining cool whip over pudding layer. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Refrigerate till serving. Yields 16 to 20 servings
