Peanut Brittle

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups raw peanuts

Put all together and cook until amber colored. I use an iron skillet, but I guess any pan would do. Stir most of the time to prevent burning. Usually peanuts will start popping when it is about done. Add two level teaspoons of soda and stir well and then pour on greased sheet. I use two cookie sheets since it makes a large batch of candy. Let cool and then break into pieces.
