Fruit Salad by Grandmother Little and Mable Hodges

1 can sliced peaches, cut up, with juice 1 (8oz.) can crushed pineapple 2 bananas, sliced walnuts maraschino cherries Add a bit of sugar. Could add a few small marshmallows or grapes. Mix a few hours before serving to allow it to marinate. Aunt Mable would bring this to our house when celebrating a birthday!

Breakfast Treats

1 cup raisins 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup chopped nuts 1 can ready to bake biscuits Combine raisins, sugar, and nuts. Stretch biscuits to 3 inches if possible. Butter generously with softened butter. Press raisin mixture over top of biscuits, and bake at 450 degrees 8 to 10 minutes or until done.

Hickory Nut Pie

2 eggs, beaten ½ cup syrup Pinch salt ½ cup sugar 1 cup nutmeats, or more 1 tsp. vanilla 1 unbaked 8-inch pie crust Mix together all ingredients, adding nuts last. Pour into a small-unbaked pie crust. Bake in 400 degree oven for ten minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Bake till brown.
